Take a look at the photos, it is largely self-explanatory.
1. Slide the strain relief over the wire.
2. tighten it into the end of the fitting.
3. Tighten the plastic screw in the strain relief (so that it is clamped to / against the cord).
And the job is done again!
Why would you use this part?
To reduce the pressure that the (hanging) lamp (or lampshade) puts on the fitting.
Maximum cord diameter: 0.8 cm (.31 inch).
