Solid metal strain relief made of matt nickel (matt silver coloured). The internal thread is M10 (or 1.0cm / 0.39 inch). Take a look at the pictures, they actually explain it all. By tightening the 2 metal parts, you clamp the white plastic piece on the cord. And so you ensure that the pressure is on the outside of the cord (instead of on the 2 wires in the fitting).
